IMUA III is designed to increase human intellectual capital to study climate impact on the environment while building capacity in cyberinfrastructure, data visualization and modeling, in an effort to broaden the diversity of the science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) workforce across the State of Hawai‘i. The Cyberinfrastructure (CYBER) team is supporting the integration of in situ sensors, geospatially referenced data collection and management, visualization and predictive modeling. The team is developing a new generation of tools and services for discovery through establishment of a cyberinfrastructure environment that supports collaborative research and education and fosters a transdisciplinary understanding of complex systems and their global interactions. All project data will be centrally managed and remotely accessible for manipulation, modeling and visualization work by project participants.
